Right, daughter's Bossnut has a couple of knocking feelings and I can't track them down.
1 at front and 1 at back...front feels like headset but that seems tight enough, could be forks but I can't feel it on the fork (but can on bars). Rear is a wee thing when you slightly lift back end by main frame.
I suspect bearings need replaced but I can't feel the knock at each bearing point.
Absolute pain in the backside as I used to be good at this and could find a knock or squeak or rub very quickly...
I'm not really expecting it to be bearings though as bike is less than 6 months old and had less than 200 miles on it...so I'm thinking that isn't enough for them to be shot, especially as she isn't hard on the bike.
So, lend me your tips on how to track these knocks down please...ta.
Probably shock reducers - can feel like a loose headset and would potentially explain the front and rear bit, as it would be from rear but can feel like the front.
Ok, ta...where are they located so I can go check those, thanks?
Shock eyelets. If that’s the issue it’ll be the rear one as that sees more rotation than the front one.
Fingers around shock/swingarm interface and lift the saddle - you’ll feel movement if that’s the issue.
Thanks, will try again as when I did that earlier (on all pivot points on all frame points) and couldn't feel anything, however, will try again.
Loose cassette? Our 2020 Bossnut had one that came undone vi easily. Made an awful noise.
Baggy wheels? Likewise the wheels were as baggy as a ....
At each end of the shock there will be spacers between the shock and the frame/swingarm. Hold these between finger and thumb then gently lift the bike. If the bushes inside the shock eyelets are worn, you’ll feel a tiny bit of play.
That’s quite an echo!

a riding buddy had to put some cut up coke can around his headset bearings in his bossnut........
