Pro2 Evo hub knocks when being pedalled. Defiantly the wheel as doesn't do it when another wheel is on the bike.

I assume it's the bearings? No play and doesn't feel gritty when off the bike but it's the only thing I can think of. Any other suggestions?

Have you checked the pawls and springs?

Would suggest a broken spring, or less likely a cracked axle.

Loose lockring allowing the cassette a bit of play?

Thanks for the suggestions.

A quick inspection this morning and I can definitely say it isn't a pawl or spring and the cassette wasn't loose. I'll have a look at the axel tonight.

However, I didn't realise that there's two sets of bearing on the inner side of the freehub, the stick my finger in and give it a turn test suggests that the inner of the two could be the culprit.

Just a quick update, I stripped the hub earlier and all bearings felt smooth (one less so but it was far from rough), the axel was also crack free.

Cleaned, greased where instructed on the Hope video & rebuilt and the knocking seems to have gone.

Fingers crossed it sorted as I've got 4 days riding in Scotland starting tomorrow 😀
