i've got a set of 2006 bomber z1 lights. had them for about a year and had them fully serviced (new seals/bushings/oil) once in that time. when i got them serviced the mechanic said that there is some wear at the bottom of one of the stanchions but not to worry this is normal.
the forks work fine but have developed a really annoying knocking sound when hitting the rough stuff. i presume that this is due to the stanchion wear - does anyone know if am i presuming right or does it sound like there is something else going on? it's quite a loud knock, as though something is loose inside the legs, hence why i think it must be where the inner is meeting the outer upon the fork flexing.
pretty sure they just 'do' that
they're supposed to 'knock' irritatingly loud??
All Mountains are prone to it, sounds like something is loose inside them and i guess they have the same internals as Z1s
ok, i'm sure i can live with it. might strip em down and check everything's nice & tight anyway. they're great in every other way.
cheers
