Having a look at few pairs just now. Anyone recommend any of these or suggest any others? Cheers

or are these a bit excessive for mostly just trail centres. I've just bought nukeproof evo pedals and have the fear of hitting my shins 😀 although I also bought 5 10's so maybe slippage won't be much of an issue. If so I may just buy better knee protectors as at the moment I am using fox launch enduro pads which don't offer much protection
I wouldn't bother with shin protectors for trail centres and shin scars are just good bragging rights anyway. It's kind of a club a bit like the Freemasons but with less dodgy handshakes.
CRC have a good offer on IXS flow zip knee pads atm. I got the elbow version as well. They're quite light but flexible and should be fine for most trail centres.
I also looked at Ion K-pact zips, well-protected but they seem a bit chunky for full-time wear.
Haven't used them yet so don't know how they'll do, but got to be better than bare knees.

I noticed they were on offer. Do they have decent protection? The fox launch enduros are basically just thin foam
I have the race face ones, I'm 6ft and got size large, be aware that shin protection only covers the top half of the shin.
A high sock should be enough to protect your shins from most strikes, at least in my case most come from walking with the bike or low speed falls.
Ok what's everyone's go to knee pads that offer decent protection and are comfortable?
Fit is the most important factor by far.
And the only way to know what fits you is to buy and wear 'em.
Pisser isn't it?
APF
It certainly is 😀 This is my only annoyance with buying online
