My two boys have recently both got into BMX, there 7 and 10. I want to get them some knee pads and possibly elbow pads but ideally want to get something that can go under there clothes well. Iv had a bit of a google but does anyone have any recommendations?

Fox launch pads are good.

What type of BMX? Racing and most kids just wear racepants, they offer some protection. However in all the crashes I've witnessed at racing leg injuries were quite rare. Riders tend to go over the bars so the upper body comes off worse.  For that reason I'd go body armour up top over just elbows.  Again, race background. This logic seems to be following my lad into his mountain biking as well, though I am trying to get him into knee pads now 🙂

Street, park BMX I'd have thought skate stuff might be worth looking at.

all the kids at our local skate park use rekd knee pads and elbow pads. I`ve just got our scooter mad 9yr old these. she can use them biking too. will do for now.

depends on what BMX they are doing i suppose.

elbow pads are a good shout - just measure up their legs as needed.

There was an article by Andrew Major in NSMB (I think) where he said most pads for kids sucked and he ended up using Pearl Izumi adult elbow pads that he had for testing on his 5 year old.
