Hello,
Considering a move up to Knaresborough / Harrogate area from Leeds.
I know there's loads of riding to be had 30 mins drive away in the car, but what is the riding like in the immediate local vicinity? Enough to keep one entertained? How does it hold up during winter?

Cheers

El-bouf... You're gonna be in ****in heaven mate!

The locals will quickly be able to show you such legendary climbs as Milners Lane, legendary descents such as Birk Crag, wiggly singletrack all the way along through Pinewoods, Nidd Gorge, Oakdale Glen, Hooky woods, and Stone Rings, let alone all the ace farmland trails out past Knaresborough, Scriven and Goldsborough.

and then you've got the secret stuff... plus only a few miles out to Stainburn, let alone Blubberhouses..

Feeling very, very homesick right now!

Hi,

I have been lurking on here for a few months now. I saw this post so thought it would be a good one to bump for me. I have lived in Harrogate all my life and basically blasted the Nidd all that time. 10 years off for the usual party antics and now I am back.

These other areas around the gate sound brilliant. Anyone keen for evening blasts around the area it would be cool to meet. I have a cheap Specialized but my fitness is fine.

easy
