This what's been going on at the clunker classic on exmoor for 11 years now.
Clunking is a shed load of fun.
I use a 1930s post office bike with renthal motorcycle bars. Rod brakes are damned fast.
Some folk have won on shoppers and bmxs.
Here is a video... Count the crashes...

Transition Klunking vid is one of my favourite-ever bike videos, how mucking about in the woods on bikes should be, or was before it all got a bit high-tech.

It's not even the bikes, it's the trails. Dry dry dry. I don't remember last time I rode somewhere like that. Damn UK. Looks like so much fun on those bikes in the dust, bags of grip where you want it, bags of gravelly sliding when you want it.

It's the AOR rock track that makes it all so great 🙂

We have dry trails here in East Lothain all year round 🙂
sand based dirt above the coast that is free draining. We Had 2" of rain on Tuesday untill 3pm then skies cleared and i went out for 2 hours and was home near spotless, not meaning to brag like 😀
Oh we have jump trails too if you know where to look too 😉

Charlie,

entertaining video, but what sort of crazy f*cked-up bike is that one crashed at 2:15 😯

Looked to have a front wheel about 6" diameter, no wonder he had fallen off!

Cheers, Rich

Do they not have coaster brakes? Some of the footage of foot out sliding into berms looked like the back wheel was locked up.

I wish I had my old Raleigh bomber now

I remain unconvinced this wasn't just a wind up that got out of control...
