headed down to kirrie today to blast the red, stopped and chatted to 2 bikers that were on the "rocky road" section... turned out that one of the lads was a first timer....and his buddy was there to get his fitness up.... we ended up just poodling roon the red just generally having a craic about the routes and mtb in general... was a good laugh for sure.... by the time we arrived at the start of "The Nutcracker" section one of the lads had to peel off back to the car park as he was totally exhausted.. fair play and kudos to the lad getting that far.... takes an age to get MTB fit that's for sure.... hope he keeps at the biking though...his buddy rode back to the car park with him... I blasted the remainder of the Red route....not bad I suppose for only having 2 gears that were working properly......DUH.... I forgot to re-index the gears last week after taking the 9spd gearing system off the bike to test a 10sp system......silly auld bugga..... but I still had a blast..... and it's good to have a craic with complete strangers out on the trails, as they soon become friends.....
