Somafunk will be along shortly.

Answer is yes there is a good bit - but my local knowledge of the area is based on living there in 1996... So I'm avoiding advice on where...

There's a decent selection of trails/jumps in the woods above the town/caravan park (bar hill woods), it's a small wood and you're either climbing up or going down, all quite short but enough to raise a considerable sweat in this 28dg weather, head up and just explore till you have an idea of how to wring them together - you can't get lost, There's another nice wee coastline path out past the lifeboat station that takes you round the cliffs.  Similar trails round the cliffs out at Brighouse bay. Nice breeze at the coast which you'll be appreciative of.

The only pub worth going into is the Masonic Arms on Castle Street, my mates pub run by Simon & L-J, avoid all the others as they're filled with small town ****-wits.

I would have otherwise offered to show you around but i'm a bit buggered at the moment.

Nice one. Thanks for that.  I'm down near brighouse so that sounds ideal. Might give that an explore in the morning

Also will check out the trails/jumps

It might be a bit too family friendly orientated but I think the Brighouse Bay holiday park turned their nine hole golf course into a little Mtb course with pump track to play on.

Sounds perfect as I'm here with the kids! (Hence why unfortunately a trip to the Masonic arms is unlikely)
