a) not for you b) not for you. You are so gnarly and butch

for me it would be - and I would go Blair athol to Kingussie. I have done this route with camping kit on the tandem - it took 2 days but obviously the camping kit slowed us down a lot as it turned some just ridable stuff into not worth struggling with.

Its a long ride with a some hike a bike and a river crossing that might be deep

My good lady was looking at doing this yesterday + today. She bottled it (thankfully) because it looked too far and one guide book said its partly unridable; although its not an MTB specific guidebook so this might be from the perspective of an everyday hill walker. And she's not the most experienced / confident on a bike so kinda glad she didn't judging by emergency how-to-fix-a-puncture session on Saturday evening. How hard can it be?!?!?

She went and did something anyway and expecting her return any time so will report back.

madeinyorkshire rather less than that surely?

You could do it glen tromie / glen bruar - thats shorter and easier but some serious hikeabike over the top

Easy-ish option would be Glen Tromie - Gaick Pass - Old A9 cycle route.

All cycleable, not too far.

madeinyorkshire

You don't need to go anywhere near feshiebridge - there is a way across to kingussie from halfway down Glen Feshie

gonna have to do it one way or the other.
booked in kingussie one night and pitlochry the next.

done the glent tilt part of it, which is not too hard, and the glen feshie part look's like landy track for most of it's length.
just a 10kish bit in the middle to link them up looks iffy..... 😆

Ton - if you do the glen feshie Landrover track you have a river to ford that is not small. The bridge has gone that is marked and the lrt is not quite as marked on the map anymore The single track will be a fair amount of walking I would have thought especially as you will be climbing. - glen tromie is the better bet especially if you have to ride on to Pitlochry

ton - the 10k ish bit in the middle (I assume you mean the watershed between Glen Geldie and Glen Feshie) can be quite heavy going if it's been wet. I last did after a heavy spell of rain last September and we were on and off - mostly off - the bike for an hour or so. Fine either side although the landslides in Glen Feshie need a bit of care 😉

I took the Glen Geldie/Glen Feshie route yesterday coming over from Braemar to Kingussie. It took me 5 hours to get to Kingussie from the Glen Tilt/Glen Geldie junction, although I did go via the gliding club to see what was going on. It snowed around the watershed as well 🙂

The Gaick pass would be a much faster and easier way, as others have said, esp. if you have luggage. Only 1 ford that way too, vs. ~5 on the Geldie/Feshie route.

>Ton - if you do the glen feshie Landrover track you have a river to ford that is not small. The bridge has gone that is marked<

But then connoisseurs of Feshie would use the other bridge 600m South of Achleum and revel in the technical Singletrack up the East side of the river 😉

If you dont fancy that and dont mind getting your feet wet there is a ford a few hundred metres North of Carnachuin near TJ's (ex) bridge - just on the bend in the river. Thats crossable in all but very heavy rain.

Feshie is far better ridden East to West but if you are all fit then Feshie / Tilt is a better route than Tromie / Gaick
