Normally ride around Angmering Park for the last few years and getting a bit tired of the same loops, so I've been thinking about heading over to Kingley Vale tomorrow or Friday.

Given the fine weather we've just had will it be a total mud fest and likely to lead to my early demise?

If Kingley Vale is like it was years ago when I used to ride it, the best descent is pretty much all chalk. A nightmare in the wet...

If you are planning to ride either of the two trails, one is currently closed for repairs (check their f/b page , stoughton downhill). The rest of the bridleways are usual south downs 'entertaining' when damp.
Have you thought about Whiteways/Houghton Forest for more xc style single track plus less sketchy when damp

Was planing to have a nose around but sounds like I'll give it a miss at the moment.

Only ridden Whiteways a couple of times but struggled to find single track so mostly bridle track, any tips on where to head or any gpx routes?
