Anyone got / ridden / know a bit about Kingdom bikes? There's not much info out there, presumably because they're a small company.

This Vendetta XFS looks lovely (IMHO), but is that where it ends?

Just curious really as I came across a frame for sale whilst dreaming of new bikes.

My mate had a Hex which he was very much enjoying until some ambulant corpse in a Focus ran over it in Glyncorrwg. That bent the frame and as Kingdom had recently stopped making it they said there was nothing they could do to re-true it. They offered him in a 100 euro discount on a new one, so he's got a very expensive bit of slightly bent titanium in his garage.

So yeah, boutique manufacturer problems I guess.

I’ve had a Vendetta hardtail from new for years now. It’s been a great bike.
Friend had a Vendetta full sus that cracked and they were pretty good at sorting it from memory.

I have both a Hex and a Vendetta hardtail frame. I love how both ride. Great geometry, lovely finish on both.
The Hex frame is heavier than expected and advertised but my build is still under 15kg. Unfortunately it did crack, but the warranty and customer service in getting it replaced was great and I've had no issues since.
They no longer build bikes on the same suspension platform used on the HEX and XFS. The new VOID 130 and 160 are now part 3d printed and single pivot design. I can't comment on those as I've not ridden one.

I've had a custom Vendetta X2 since 2020.

I'm really pleased with it.

Dealing with Kingdom on the custom side of things was slow and they seemed primed to be overly defensive - I suspect they were run off their feet and getting alot of complaints about timescales slipping.

They missed the ISCG mounts from mine and tried to palm me off with some ti bling, but I asked for another one to be made and they were a bit funny once they didn't get their own way. My BB was also faced really badly and was killing BBs until I spotted it. Despite that, I've not heard many complaints about cracked ones.

If you're buying from existing stock I doubt much of the above will be particularly relevant.

Mate of mine has one of the hardtails. Ripped the mech hanger off recently. 2 new hangers and shipping was £107…

Ooh, yeah. Mech hangers are ridiculous.

I think I stumbled on a generic one a while ago for 17 quid though, when I was looking for a spare for my other bike

Cheers all. If one comes up cheap I could be tempted to have a try.
Mech hanger sounds ridiculous, I guess price bumped up by the low number they have made?

There are other bikes I’d choose if I was buying new, I just came across an advert for a frame and love the look of it 😎
