Kinesis Tripster AT - any owners or riders?

I ride mine every where, here I rode up the Ffrith to OnePlanetAdventure, rode the blue had a coffee and rode home, a mixture of road, track and trails

I've got one of the early ones, bluey green. Love it, like the fact the front end is a bit higher as it makes the drops easy to get to.

The only thing I'd say is the top tube is fairly high whereas some other brands have gone for a more sloping top tube for more standover/longer dropper potential.   Doesn't bother me though.

Mrs 100th has one with a 2x set up. It's a really nice bike. I bought a laid because I'm not allowed to copy.

I have one as in the yellow colour shown.

Purchased from the LBS in 2017, so quite an early one.

Standard kit build, 1 x, 2nd set of Cross Light wheels, Spyre cable discs.

Paint has been durable and kept its shine.

Ridden it a lot and I am well satisfied.

Set up as winter road bike, have changed the wheels since this but I am very happy with it.

They have the plus as well with more tyre clearance

I fancy one as they have loads of stack and I don’t really benefit in the middle.

But that must mean the fit wouldn’t work for some one else

Had one since 2018. Started off with the 2x setup from my old CX bike and ran 2 sets of wheels but it eventually became off road only so I went 1x and it keeps the knobblies on. Have had quite a lot of adventures on it including Dirty Reiver, a bit of bikepacking and loads of exploring.

Unless they've changed it just be aware there's no routing for a dropper post

Great to hear that there is overwhelmingly good reviews on this bike, nothing to worry about with no dropper routing, I don't even have a dropper on my MTB 😲

just coming back to this thread, it may be possible for me to get a frame on my employers new cycle scheme, which is great but i'm struggling to decide what size I would need. I'm 6 feet tall of fairly average proportions, arms and legs neither particularly long or short. I usually ride a large road or mountain bike. I did once have a 56cm Genesis CX (Vapour I think) bike which felt a touch too small which leads me to think I'd probably want a 57cm with the Kinesis, however the reach still looks quite short on that, and I would be riding at least half the time on the road so don't want to be too cramped.

Any chance those with bikes could offer an opinion or let me know what size suits you in regards to your height and riding style.

I'm 5'10" and ride a 55.5cm frame.

• They size up big, used to sell them so was able to try all the sizes. I'm 6ft and found the 55.5 a much better fit than the 57cm

I agree with RocketDog. I'm 175cm so according to the size guide should be on a 54cm frame. I was lucky enough to try a couple of sizes and found that size a bit unweildy but the 51cm is spot on. Mine's spent a lot of time on the road (was my winter road bike for a few years) and while it doesn't feel racy it's perfectly fine for cruising about.

@rOcKeTdOg I'm interested in your experiences seeing as you've obviously sat on a few and you're the same height as me, considering I am more of a roadie that occasionally goes off road, rather than a mtb'er who occasionally goes on the road, do you think a 57cm would be too big? I'm definitely looking for a gravel bike at the roadie end of the spectrum, there's no wrong answer here btw😀.

To give more frame bag space - AT is for Adventure Tour. Great fun bikes - hits the road:trail balance just right.

I'm 5' 11 1/2 inch, and the frame is 54. I did change the stem for a shorter one.

Agreed , I have a custom bag on mine and it's huge! But just thought it worth mentioning as it does set it apart from others.

Well I've got one for myself now, didn't bother with the cycle to work scheme in the end as a good condition one at a reasonable price came up on eBay. Only had a short spin on it so far and feels spot on in the 55.5 size. The geometry is night and day compared to the cx bike I was using for gravel duties. Looking forward to some sunshine so that I can get up on the South Downs and ride it on the sort of terrain it was designed for.
