Has anybody got any details of the Sync from when it was launched? In particular anything on the warranty period (not what it says on the web site now.)

More details when the dust has settled.

Many Thanks Paul

If you go on the way back machine from 2014, under faq’s kinesis list ti frames as a 5 year warranty.

I seem to recall it being much shorter than that cos I was thinking about one to replace my FF29 that I loved, but I never did. Seem to recall it was either a year or 3. There’s nothing on any of the product or tech pages about warranty though, or on the upgrade site.

Upgrade bikes are always very good in my experience though, they’ve sent me a new rim for a wheel out of warranty and spare parts FOC, always been really impressed with their after sales service. Some of their stockists, not so much.

Give Upgrade a call... I seem to remember it being 5yrs, but I might be wrong. It must be 5yrs now since I sold mine actually!

They are now quoting 3 years on frames sold before Feb 2019, which is not what I recall from when I I purchased mine 4 years ago.
Not a very happy camper at the mo.

Looking at the snapshots on wayback machine the 3 year warranty seems to have come into place in november 15, up to January 19 where it goes back to being a 5 year warranty again.

Are you talking to the shop or upgrade? I suppose the problem is there are no frames left anyway even if they wanted to go above and beyond the 3 year warranty.
