Hi Folks,
Do any of you have any experience of the Kinesis R2; either as a full off the peg build or have built up a frameset?
One of these: https://road.cc/content/review/kinesis-r2-2021-286339
I'm looking to build up a more road orientated build than my current Camino.
All thoughts good and bad would be appreciated.
I've sold quite a few, they had the tiagra groupset which is quite frankly great value for money now they are hydraulic brakes, plenty of room for big tyres and full mudguards, kinesis own are great. It's a good solid work horse/commute/winter/exploring back lanes kind of bike
Thanks RD.
That is great news.
I've got an R1, same bike bar the gearset. I love it; as said above, it's a decent, solid bike but not to say heavy/dull/boring... I think it sits well on the price:performance/Law of Diminishing Returns... you could spend a lot more and get very little extra.
There are a couple more R1 than R2 reviews out there which will be fairly relevant - including one guy on YT
HTH, any questions, feel free 🙂
Thank you @defblade
I have a 105 group set ready so looking at F&F only and for it to be my "best bike" rather than winter trainer 🙂
Good shout on looking at the YT reviews.
