I have bought some SKS cromoplastic to fit my bike. Upon fitting them, I realised that the rear stays are too short by about 2cm (eyelets are on the seatstays).
SKS make longer stays but do not sell them to individual. Obviously nobody on the net has them and the german amazon shop I found sent me the wrong ones (wrong part number on the amazon page)
I have been faffing with all this for a month and I am fed up with this.

How has anybody managed to do a good job fitting full length mudguards on those frames?

This will be of no use to you, but I've fitted the SKS Velo 42 Urban guards to mine - clip on and off in about 10 seconds. I was worried they'd be too 'flappy' so I got the optional stays, which I haven't yet fitted since getting them in the spring. Have made a bit to reach down to the BB area by using a 7up bottle...

Try contacting SKS direct, a little different to your situation but they were very helpful sorting out some replacements parts for me.

They may be able to point you in the right direction?

Distributor was useless by the way, didn't want to know unless it was a warranty issue (had only asked if I could buy a spare part from somewhere).

Could you get some additional secu-clips to extend the reach of the rear stays?

Thanks all for your replies.

Yes I did contact SKS who (more or less) only helped me with telling me that there were longer stays you could buy....
The distributor was useless.

The secuclip sounds like a good idea! I will give it a go.

Using the secuclips allowed me enough room for 28mm tyres... Thankfully winter seems to be delayed but I will soon need to fit the 40mm marathons and I do not know how...
