Rode the lonesome pine and bloodybush trails at Kielder, then the Cross Border route to Newcastleton, the red there then back on the second part of the cross border back to Kielder where I finished on the big decent from the timber to the Castle. A real good day out! Recommended!

Forgot to say, saw two other riders at Kielder and one at Newcastleton, other than that no one else about. Was on Friday, sun out all day!

The thoughts of Kielder 100 are obviously still too fresh for some people

It's a nice ride that. Good mix of man made fun and fairly remote feeling trails.

I'd avoid if the weathers bad or if you've done 60 odd miles to get to the start. You can do it as a race if as part of the Kielder Marathon series in May.

It's always quiet. I've done it solo and not seen anybody all day.
