Anyone daft enough to be doing the Kielder Chiller 24 next month? I'm considering it for unknown reason, and trying but so far failing to twist anothers arm to join me....you know who you are! Knowing of others likely to be sharing the pain might make me more inclined to actually enter..

Yes my mates doing it as a solo, I'm not daft enough. He's been telling me about all the stuff he has bought to get him through the 24 hours which is pretty scary if you consider what you might need i.e. changes of clothes, spares, tyres, lots of drinks, stove for hot food etc etc

I did it last year. Was curious if I could ride for 24 hours and this seamed like a good opportunity. Turns out I can! Not able to do it this year, but might consider doing one again.
I'd say go for it. Best advice - those single use foot warmers saved me from a world of pain. I used about 3 as they last a good 6-8 hours. Change of clothes with every meal stop (I had 3 or 4), eat something each lap.
And don't stop. (Easier said than done)
