Hello all, it would be nice to meet some names off here as I gather there is some srt of endurance race going on over at Kielder this weekend???

I'll be riding my grey 456. May or may not be wearing a ST jersey, white helmet, wingnut backpack.

I'm in the main camping site: Blue Yaris with a ST mag in the windscreen, green tent. Come and say Hi, I may have a kettle on a trangia 😀

See you there

with the lights on my helmet/bike

How long are you planning to take? 😉

(I could have done with lights for the final descent last year, but I don't think anyone will finish that slowly this year, with the drier weather.

i'll be there with my wife and son - staying in a big camper thing in one of the campsites. riding a black soul wearing all black gear (keep meaning to get more colourful clothing). and definitely near the back somewhere! looking forward to this as i messed it up last year and feel much better prepared this time round.

good luck everyone!

I'll be there (car willing, of course!).

Riding a, seemingly, common-as-muck TD-1 as fast as I can without exploding, after camping in a cheap pop-up tent that will no doubt fall apart in the middle of the night.

I'll be there, aldi tent (red), aldi sleeping bag(red), aldi riding gear(blue for a change) - guess where I shop 🙂 riding an etsx(black and grey), I'll be the one coughing and spluttering on the start line.

As my car will probably just about make it to kielder on a full tank anyone know where the nearest reasonably priced petrol station is?

Fill up on the way 🙂

I arrived late last year, and was getting close to fumes when I got to Kielder - it was a slightly stressful 20 miles or so to the nearest garage on the way home!

Blue stickers are definitely the best. They need a blue saddle to really set them off though 😉

I'll be arriving early afternoon tomorra in my silver motorhome. Look for the old git riding a red and white cube as pictured on the ad above. Will be wearing my bad brains mbc top (ride bikes, drink beer, eat cake) and will be annoying other riders with the continuous clicking from my cranks (no, not my dodgy knees).

Hoping to get a bit further than the 4.8 miles i did last year when my seatpost clamp bolt snapped!

I'll be on the clapped out colnago and very narrow tyres.........

See you all there!

HELP!!

Anyone fine a set of prescription Oakleys at Kielder ? Either near the event tent at the castle, or down in the Tom's Field camp site ?

In my exhausted Bonked state, I seem to have lost mine.

Orange frame, yellow lense... clearly for a blind man if you try them on.

Mail address in profile.
Cheers
