Mornining people, out here at Kielder the weather is perfect sunny not too warm. The midgies haven't been too bad certainly not to previous years.

Anyway the important thing is the race positions:

Ben Thomas and Rourke of @TeamOMC leading the pack passed 43 mile mark in 3hrs 20m. Will they get the magic 7 hours? #kielder100

From Facebook:

Well, 2nd at Kielder 100 today! Tim was the stronger guy in the end despite my multiple tumbles! Well deserved, top ride. — with Tim Dunford.

So Ben and Rourke obviously dropped off the pace surprisingly. No other updates from Tim/Ben on FB.

I know Ben thought it was doable, would have had to ride the second half a good chunk quicker than the first if Tim did it.

My knees hurt and prairie dogging it for over 9hrs sucks!

Anyways, Tim Dunford flew around in 7hrs 52min 24secs.

Think the wind played its part, it was horrendous in some sections!

I tried the 50 and really enjoyed it. Stepping up to the 100 next year.
