Jnr FD has out grown his frog bike but luckily it easily fits my wife’s 26” bike that she never uses.

Only problem is that the cranks arms are way too long.

I’m sure I saw a thread on here a while back for cheap good kids crank arms.

It’s currently a Shimano 8 speed triple square taper cranksets that’s on the bike

Thanks

This is what I got for the (5'1") other half, they absolutely transformed her riding!

I really don't know why a wider range of crank lengths aren't commonly available / put on in bike fit sessions...

+1 Thorn or use 4-bolt bmx cranks. Also square taper.

If you search for ‘suntour xcr junior’

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cranksets-SR-SUNTOUR-Components-Parts/s?ie=UTF8&hidden-keywords=-jacket&page=1&rh=n%3A458358031%2Cp_4%3ASR%20SUNTOUR

When you remove the heavy chainring, they’re quite a decent weight. Come in 140mm too, which is a good length.

Suntour XCR jr here too, bin the steel rings. Four bolt BMX cranks are a bit pricey.

Yeah i've got the suntour ones on both my kids bikes. Ditch the chain rings and whack a narrow/wide on there and they're sweet.

155mm Thorns with a Superstar narrow wide here. It’s been on both kid’s bikes over the years.

Shimano hollow techs.

Drill a vent hole and a filling hole 3-4mm.

Fill with epoxy resin.

Cure under a halogen lamp.

Buy brand x £6.99 pedal taps.

Drill.

Tap.

Cut off excess.

Sand smooth and save the dust to mix with epoxy resin to fill the 3-4mm holes you drilled earlier.

Start with a 175 crank so you don't clash with the existing hole.
