Try a shorter stem, move seat as far forward as allowed, to be fair if she can pull the brakes safely when in the drops this is the best option anyway. As alot of young people don't have the hand strength to bring the bike to a sudden stop whilst riding on the hoods.

As above, unless you are running Tiagra STI's. As an extreme measure I have in the past inserted a spacer inside a brake lever to move it back, then readjust the pad spacing. Not sure if this will still work on STI. Sora were adjustable for reach - look for a small Allen key hole.

Great bikes BTW.

I've put a pair of additional brake levers on the top of the bars on my kids TCR.
Just like these ones:

Also, there should be a hole with a screw inside half way up the hoods to adjust the reach of the levers if they're the same Sora ones as on ours.

Thanks for all the advise, I'll check out the breaks and see if I can adjust the levers back. She wont be racing it until next year so fingers crossed she'll grow a bit by then.
I thought about the cross break but my only thought is if she's got those she wont ever try to use the other ones and just be a pain when I try to get her to, if she never had them she wont miss'em )
