My 7 year old daughter loves her bike computer and is keen on knowing how far she has walked and run etc. So is there a kid friendly watch. The kids Garmin looks fun but has no hr or gps. All the kids watchs with GPS seem to be safety and tracking for parents.
My wife thinks the apps (games, challenges etc) on some of the kids watchs would be good but I am not convinced. So any ideas out tyere?
Get a small adult one. The kids ones are imitations / novelties. The low end adult ones are great for kids. My 8yo has a forerunner 10 (I'd get that again, but it's out of date now so you might want to look at the current range). If you are willing to buy used, they go very cheap on ebay.
We had one but it got stolen after school.
Had to sign up as over 13 or something though with Garmin. It's a bit unclear what might potentially happen when you lie. Perhaps they disable the watch if they find out?
Ok thanks. How low down the Garmin ranking can you go and get cycling and running as activities?
We had one of these...
Garmin vivosmart 4 Fitness Activity Tracker with Wrist Based Heart Rate, Small/Medium, Black
Cost a tooth though when it was stolen
good question, looked up and garmin forerunner 35, £99. gps, covers cycling etc :))0
Was going to get the 35 but was overruled. Vivofit active jr3 was the decision. So no hr or gps but 60% of the cost... But it has games.
