My son wants a full face helmet. Doesn't really need one but that's largely irrelevant!

Got an X Rated one from Halfords but it's too big for him. His current 'normal' helmet is size 50 - 58cm but that has a lot of adjustment. The X Rated was 54 - 58 with zero diameter adjustment.

Any ideas?

He's 10, so nothing with 'little kid' robots, rockets or similar designs!

my 10 year old got this

Fits well... I think we got in an M. He may have a large head though.

Plenty of full face helmets around for little rippers. Most manufacturers have a youth range with small medium and large sizes.

CRC had a load of one industry helmets cheap a year or two ago when they went pop, suspect they've all gone now but no doubt replaced by another brand that is suffering.

Price range can vary from cheaper Fly helmets to full carbon troy Lee affairs.

Best advice is find a decent shop and try before you buy as fit is everything.

MX shops are also a good source of full face lids as well.

These are great, just got a job lot for our BMX club...

We just got our 4 yr old a bell sanction. Mainly because it was the lightest one we could find.
Really impressed with it & might get myself the same thing in a bigger size.

For that fox money, you could get a giro switchblade from merlin, they have small size.
My lads wants one desperately....

Thanks again everyone. We've gone for the Bell Sanction.

Now have one very excited 10 year old asking "when do you think it'll be here dad?" Every 5 minutes!

Cheers!
