Aside from "one that fits..." does anyone have any recommendations for Kids Helmets.

Both my boys have Bell Fraction skate style helmets and they got pretty sweaty last summer.

With big riding plans for the year ahead, does anyone have any recommendations?

My eldest has seen the Giro Raze in green which will match his new Islabikes Beinn. Apparently matching is important! (but £40 ouch...)

I have used Giro and Bell helmets for years I they are known quantity to me but has anyone's kids used a Laser Nutz ( http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/376/cz233mips/lazer-nutz-mips-uni-size-youth-helmet.html) or Uvex Quatro ( http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/376/uh05/uvex-quatro-junior-helmet.html)?

Cheers in advance!

My kids 4 & 9 year olds both got fox piss pot style helmets.
They were about £13 in the crc sale and come in bright colours

Not used the Quatro but my youngest has had two Uvex Heros - very nice helmets, great quality, bit of an interesting fit.

Eldest has just moved into small adult sizes (53cm-ish) which improves the selection massively.

Lazer P'Nut here, wee Hatter loves his, we'll be getting a Nutz MIPS when he outgrows it.

Fit is everything with kids lids, if they're uncomfortable they won't wear them, we had a Giro initially and he hated it, your nipper maybe different of course.

Got the Raze for my 4 year old lad for no other reason than it matched his Cnoc 16!

Luckily it fits him really well.

Both my boys have had a couple of Bell Amigo's http://www.halfords.com/cycling/helmets/kids-helmets/bell-amigo-bike-helmet-blue-flames-50-55cm. My eldest actually came off his bike when he was 3 and cracked his helmet (was a hell of a crash) but once he'd settled down he was back on the bike and away again so I decided to stick with those!

Both my girls have these, or the older dirt jump lid actually, good fit, different pads halp them to grow, good all round coverage, not daft prices..

Cheers all!

Interestingly Small Adult helmets (well for Giro anyway) start at 51cm which is the size of my kids heads at the moment.

This opens up a few more options.
