Nephew is 9 soon and I've been tasked with helping my Bro find a bike...i've suggested BMX, but of course that may well fall on deaf ears, as one he highlighted is a mtb hardtail carrera jobbie.
Max spend £250
ideas?
Smallest size 26" wheel Rockrider from Decathlon within the budget.
My lads eight and just got him on a specialised 13" hardtail (26"), built it up with my spare parts etc, you should be able to get one on ebay or a new one last years model if you can find any stock.

Personal question, but how tall is he? My little girl is almost 4'6" and was wondering when a full sized (26") bike would be appropriate.
Hoy Bonlay if he isn't too tall.
Antimony he is 4ft 5", put 150mm cranks on and a 30T upfront, with an 11-36 cassette, the wheels, saddle off my old scott hardtail, looking at a sub 11kg bike. He loves it and even helped me build it up ( well kind of ) beats buying and isla bike every time
