Well, I've finally managed to convert Char's Raleigh Performance 20 into a lovely little offroad ride, coming in at 8.6kg (19lb).

Turning this...

into this...

Changes include:
Big fat tyres (I've even gone tubeless on the front),Trigger shifters, Moto grips, Saddle, Pedals, Brake Levers, Cable Housings, Handlebars, Chain Device, Bottom Bracket, Cycle Computer and Lights.

Char loves it and I love it. Just got to work out is there are any other twweeks I can do?

I'm not sure you have given this enough thought.

I think I've been sussed. Okay, the bike is really for me, to satisfy my small bike fetish. (The pink cables didn't fool anyone.)

Nice work, I planned on the same kind of thing on my sons Frog bike. Not happy with the screw on 7 speed cassette which almost led to a wheel rebuild with a spare Pro 2 (far too much time on my hands!)

I've thought about the wheel rebuild, but I'm struggling to get some lightweight 20" 32h rims.

As for the dropper post, does anyone do one with with a 5mm drop? 😀

Light 20" 32h rims.. Alienation deviant. Mine came from China but these were the lightest I could find.

Cheers, I'll check those rims out. Quite fancy building my own wheels.
