Hello!
We are planning a trip to Keswick next May but can't find a cottage with secure bike storage. Does anyone know anywhere where we could safely leave our bikes overnight for a week (and on the days we are not using them) in or near Keswick please?
The cottage we are looking at claimed to have bike storage but on further questioning this turned out to be a small garden, open to the road, with a drainpipe to lock bikes to....!!
Or does anyone happen to know a self catering place which would fit 8 of us for the last week of May (27th-ish to 5th-ish June).
There are 8 of us - 3 adults and 5 children.

We went to the Lakes in October. The cottage we rented had a Garage and a parking space. We received notification before we travelled that there was no longer a parking space, just the garage.
Upon arrival it transpired that the Garage was very small. After taking the roof rack off, there was 5mm clearance on the top of the car, but it was still 50mm too long to be able to close the door. Fiat Doblo, 4.4m long. Interestingly the cottage slept 6. I can't think of a smaller vehicle that carries 6 people and luggage for a week.
We recently with friends hired a cottage in the lakes and although a few of them had vans and they kept their bikes in the vans, we just kept a few in the entrance of the property and just made sure they were in clean tarpaulins to protect the floor etc...
Can't you just take them into the cottage?
