Hi all,

What are you using to keep your ears and head warm at this time of year?

A buff does well under a helmet. If you need thicker, various skullcaps are available.

Just a buff for the old ears. Works for me.

+1 for for buff/skullcap. I'm a big fan of the Endura Baabaa skullcap. Keeps you warm well under 0 degrees

A skullcap is too hot for me most of the time but I do use some ear warmers like these, though mine were unbranded and cost less than a fiver.

A much older version of this - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/altura-windproof-headband/

Rarely gets cold enough to need more coverage.

I have the altura headbands and an assos stinger but I guess my heads a funny shape.
If I pull it down enough to cover my ears I start to cover my eyes/ glasses.
I may have low lobes 🙂

I can't find the happy medium.

Buff/skullcap - got Altura and Demarchi ones that were cheap and are excellent.

I've got a windproof one

It's great except for the fact that it acts like a drum skin in the wind and amplifies everything

I use an endura version of the above band. Get too hot if the top of my head is covered.

Mate uses 180 earmuffs and reckons they're pretty good. I tend to just use a Buff.

I don't like a buff under the helmet, feels weird. So I've got some fleecy earband things which are great (they're usually made for runners and have a thick edge on the top, which I cut off for better fitting against helmets)

One of these, does tend to make your goggles steam up when you stop though but comfy warm all over head and neck area.
