I have one of the newer Surly Karate Monkeys and I have an Alfine hub. To us the grear routing down the seat stay, which washers do I need with the horizontal drop outs?
So far searching the web and even Sheldon Brown has been no help.

I'm not convinced cable routing up the seat stay will look great.

Use the silver and white but on the 'wrong' side I think
