Hello,

Can someone please suggest a rack which will fit a kaffenback frame.

I have a tortec one which does not fit (Supports from the chainstay to the top of the rack need to be about 50mm long) unless the rack sits at 45 degrees!

Cheers.

Ok,

Where the rack "arms" attach to the frame, the part just below the seat clamp.

As I said if I use the rack (tortes) with the arms not modifed the rack sits at 45 degrees!

So need suggestions for a rack which fits!

If we're talking about an older / non-disc Kaff frame, then a Topeak Super Tourist DX fits just fine, though the upper mounting arms do need to be curved down quite a bit to meet the eyes on the seatstay bridge - as they're made of slotted flat-plate, this is easy enough to do.

FWIW, I've also fitted a TorTec Ultralite rack to a Pompino with no issues - in this case the upper mounting arms (rods) had to be slid back through the brackets on the rack quite a bit to get it level.

If we're talking about a newer / disc Kaff frame, then I can't help, sorry!

so you meant seatstays.

And the arms are too long. Which tortec is it? They are usually pretty adjustable.

Yes sorry seat stays!

It is the new frame, the rack was the tortec tour rear rack.

Arms are too long, could have drilled out the arms I guess.

You do know to push the arms all the way back?

I struggled to fit my Tubus rack until i got the Tubus rack extenders so that the rack tubes didn't foul the chunky seat stay ends.
