Before anyone starts, the reason this isn't on the classifieds is because I'd have to sell my Prince Albert first and to do that I'd have to see if it would be worth it...
so...

...if i had roughly £200 what steel hardtails (for c.130mm forks) crop up, in decent nick, in that price range?

A new Sanderson Breath - just over £200 and VERY nice. Got a visit from the main man from Sanderson today and was impressed - will always buy from him, the finishing on his frames are superb and they ride amazingly well (oh, and the new colours are sweet too!)

Yeah but after two years i quite fancy something new.

456.... i am tempted, i've had one and my missus just said, "you loved that... til it got stolen.."

I might have a look at a Sanderson

I recently picked up my 08 soul for that money. Seemed well worth it to me. Hope that helps.

Yep, I was hoping to hear something like that, I did have a Soul but never quite got on with it, i could never quite make it fit; I am hoping to hear a couple of stories about people picking up P7s second hand for ~£200 🙂

I'd have to sell my PA first so if you could wait I'd be very interested stonemonkey - providing it's an 18" cos that should be spot on for me. My email's in my profile...

Yeah, I keep looking at Blue Pigs and wondering how they are for JRA - normal hilly stuff, not necessarily steep. As an all-rounder-ish bike?

you should be able to get a P7 frame for well below £200, if you're patient

I did. a couple of years ago but still...

Well, I've punted my PA on the classifieds. I've not heard from stonemonkey but there's been enough encouragement to get me into action, even if I do have to be patient about it - not my greatest strength!

My 2008 P7 was 230, with headset/BB/front mech/stem bars etc over a year ago so should be able to get one for about that.
