The post had pretty slow to return, and very stiff to compress so I followed the SRAM video. Hurrah! The post is back to working properly again; I'm relieved it wasn't an air seal problem.

However the oil which I bled out of the system is a) black (not pink like the new stuff) and b) is full of tiny metal shavings. I'm sure discolouring oil is normal, but should bits of metal really be getting worn away inside? It's not had a hard life, perhaps one ride a month on average and it's just under two years old. Is this to be expected or should I get it looked at?

I would send all the info and photos to SRAM and see what they say.

Just waiting for a reply from both Fisher and the shop I bought it from. Has anyone else had metal shavings in their Reverb oil?

My remote was full of swarf. I assume it was from the manufacturing.
