just blead my juicy three rear brake...and the fluid i got out of it is black....is this normal?
no.
flush it all out.
Sounds like a seal may have dissolved?
How long has it been in there? You get a mix of wear particles in the fluid - alloy dust from the cylinders, bits of seal and so on. It does discolour with age as well I think
If the brake works fine just ignore it.
break seems ok...no leaks or anything...just didnt expect the stuff that came out to be sooo uber black...
oh actually one of the pistons doesnt move much?
Did you bleed right thru until clean fluid came Out? I would do that.
As for the sticky piston - it could be related in that that seal might be disintegrating.
ah ok...i blead them all the way through...they feel pretty solid now...i think ill just run it till it dies...which could be years...
