the prices are obscene... 😕

looked at a 2015 specialized enduro, £3600
looked at a trek remedy 9 £3500

both proper nice bikes, with all the latest must have bling bits, but those prices...cant swallow it im afraid.

self built for me and save 2k give or take a quid. 8)

2014 Enduro £2300?
http://www.specializedconceptstore.co.uk/enduro-comp/27724/14enduro
Remember all things have got a bit more expensive, but that one looks a nice spec.
Good luck spec/price matching on of the biggest buying powers in the bike industry.

and you are right, it has been 5yrs since i have bought anything and the prices seem to have rocketed.

Might be a bit too lowly, but reasonable price

If you could fit a normal sized bike then the price would be halved due to saving in frame materials. 😉

I would not buy a Trek or Specialised just because they will be heavily discounted after they have been out for a while.

Who actually pays full RRP? I know someone who just bought a £4.5K Specialised Carbon Enduro and then was was a bit fed up when the shop reduced it by £500 a month later!

Even the likes of Orange bikes can be bought discounted if you wait until the end of the model year.

Pretty well everything bike related shot up in price about three years ago mainly due to the exchange rate from what I remember, a typical increase was 25% over the previous year. Nothing seemed to drop back the following year 🙁
