Hmmm.. it certainly looks a bit like a sticker, just above the driveside dropout. 100% + feedback though so perhaps not.

Looks like helicopter tape over the decal to me.

The seller has been a STW regular over the years and I can't remember any negative feedback. His user id is/was scantregard if my memory is correct.

I'd be more annoyed with the backwards Nicolai Stickers.

That's how the stickers are meant to be.

4th pic is much closer isn't it - or am I looking at the wrong offending blemish?

just above the driveside dropout.

That's where the gear cable rubs I would think.
Might go and have a look to make sure mine's not doing the same.

Spent ages twisting and twiddling mine so they don't rub, and have a bitof heatshrink plastic over the cables at that spot too.

Ah yeah, makes sense that.
Although, the welds are so chunky you'd think it would rub them without hitting the box section below.

That isn't a mark where a front mech was located, is it?

I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about, but I wouldn't buy from that seller purely because he wrote this in the description...

Perfect for any trek, specialized, pivot, cannondale, kona, marin, gt, merlin, litespeed, lynsky, pinarello, cove, raleigh, fat chance, pinarello dogma, time, bianchi or yeti owner.
