Thinking i need a jump bike in my collection
Been riding bmx's for over 30 years (still got one which gets used) so its not like im jumping in to this blind
The bmx is great for skateparks and tight ramps etc... but want something a bit bigger, a bit more forgiving (im 43) something i can piss about on, go street riding, pump tracks etc.. learn stuff i can then take to the full susser e-mtb
Currently swaying towards a Transition PBJ (can get a big discount on one) but what else is out there for around £1000 or less?
You won't regret a PBJ it's a mint bike.

I bought it because like a good BMX it's a clean, slim frame with no ugly adornments and it also had the longest reach number I could find. It still feels tiny because my main bike is huge.
If I needed a full bike from scratch I'd look at a Canyon Stitched 360 which is around a grand.
I've wanted this for years! I had hoped that with the resurgence of street trials, a dj style trials bike with front suspension would emerge. Nothing has materialized.

I have a hankering for one too. Went to the track in Cornwall last w/e (go if you can it's rad) and saw all the guys on jump bikes riding and it looked a lot more forgiving than for me on my BMX. Felt like I had a narrow margin for error.
Anyway there was a young guy on a saracen jump bike, I think this one, looked well tidy. (Don't buy fro. Winstanley's link just convenient)

Dying to visit that place it looks amazing. Nearly a 6 hour drive for me though. Might try and make a weekend of it some time. I've never been to Cornwall.
Dirt Factory is much closer to home I need to check that place first. Especially when the weather is like this.
This place is always worth a look for jump bikes if you're not sure what you're after.... Link
A 360 pro or normal is pretty much the best value out there, unless you can get someone to buy and ship you a rose the bruce.
Just be aware of geo esp wheelbase I sold my L 360 and bought an S and it's a world of difference (for the better).
PBJs are nice frames but the short is longer than most large from other brands
Cheers for the replies
Been to the Track before on the annual Old Fools Bmx weekend in Cornwall around 9 years ago, rad place along with Mount Hawke which was going under a refit when i was last there and we were allowed to ride the parts that had been completed
Looked at the Canyon stitched, not bad looking, waiting to hear back on a price for a PBJ first though as it should be a little less than the Stitched

That was actually a selling point for me. I want the stem to be further forward than my knee caps and the front wheel clear of my toes.
I can still loop out just by raising my eyebrows.

It closes over the winter but worth a visit preferably out of term time. Cornwall is really nice but get horribly busy at sometimes of the year. That dirt factory looks interesting, will have to take a look when I am on a northern trip.

Hmm we probably know a few of the same people.
