Moved house and know have quite a decent size garden, i want to stick in a couple of dirt jumps - i tried this with my SC Heckler in the back garden but i think the bike is too big for messing about in the garden, so wondered if i should go for a BMX or a jump bike?

I'm in the same boat, moving to a house with a bit of land and have been considering what to put in it for me and the children. We're going BMX's and pump track.

You REALLY need the Curtis jump bike I'm selling 🙂
but seriously, 24 inch jump bike would be great if you are used to a full size MTB. a 20inch would feel ickle

I've got both a BMX and a 26" MTB jump bike now and after years of MTBing I get on better with the MTB TBH.

In fact I need to Flog my BMX... 2007 GT Fueler:

Barely used it in the last year TBH, 21" TT I think...

Should not be saying this... But if the OP isn't interested, how much for the Fueler?

I'd go for 26. I've had a bmx and although fun, I found I had to ride it all the time to get any good. Also my back didn't like it when I cased any jumps.

I can hop onto a 26" DJ bike and feel right at home.

BMX Cruiser. I've just started and a 24" cruiser feels spot on.

You need a 24" BMX. Sunday make them and winstanleys sell them cheap. Get some 9" rise bars on there and you're good to go
