Hi All,

Anyone know why my Joplin 3 has developed about 4mm of sag when fully extended?? Can't remember it being like that before but just stripped and cleaned it and noticed it now.

I've cycled it up and down several times as per the instructions in the box but had no joy, whilst I'm on what sort of pressure should be in the air chamber??

Cheers
Carl

Did you cycle it with the collar fully unscrewed?
Off top of my head, the pressure should be 80-85. Sure I always put 85 in as my pump always leaks a few psi, never had any issues doing that.

not sure its that high, thought it was down about 50-55psi

sag is due to an air lock or lack of oil - this may occur if you let air out/released the pump without the seatpost being upside down

Just checked what I've got, I'm at between 70-75 and was told that buy crank bros, if its less then it's never done me any harm. Maybe drop them a lone to be safe/sure.

Ah the instructions said nowt about the collar, just popped out and thats sorted that. TA

I'll have a look tomorrow at the pressure, I guess it's not much going off the replies. Think I put 100psi in.

Cheers
