Does anyone know whether you can change the outer shaft/tube for a smaller size? I would imagine the internals etc are universal between the two sizes and only the outer tube is the sized part.

I've got a 31.6 and want a 30.9 now so assuming the parts were available at a sensible price, i.e less than buying a new one it makes more sense to me to just change that part.

Cheers.

You can do this.

You need to buy a 30.9 tube.

Cheers fir the quick reply, is it available though an LBS or through 2Pure direct?

Also have you any idea on price and whether it needs a new thread ring?

Cheers.

Hey

It is not a stock item for shops to sell AFAIK. I would email 2pure and ask them what they can do for you.

You will not need a new ring from what i remember but don't quote me!

Might be interested in that if anyone can confirm either way, have yet to dismantle the 3 so can't comment on the internal state of the outer, guides/grooves etc.

How much anyway? Email in profile if you want to do it that way.

Cheers.

From the top of my head no.

The machining is different for the base plate and the groove guides.

I *think* the base plate is lower by an inch (hence more travel)

Hmm suppose you'd need both side by side to know for sure.

Will email 2Pure in the new year for prices/details.

R_R, still send me some details if you want just in case.

Joplin 3 and Maverick Speedball are interchangeable - given how many dead speedballs there are around you might get lucky with one of these.
