not the ti ones, but the black alloy loop ones.
£130 is a lot of cash, no?

It's only since more people have started using them that they've become so expensive.

I reckon they are made for about 5 yen in some far east sweatshop too.
made from the stuff 15 quid Mary's are bent from.

Hang on to them for 6 months then sell them for a profit then.

I have an alloy loop bar that's not being used that's worth more now second hand than i paid for it new...

Edit.

made from the stuff 15 quid Mary's are bent from.

Except the Jones bar costs a bit more to produce as it envolves a bit of weding aswell as a bit of "bending".

Come on Tony. Play by the nice rules.

Yen is Japanese. Bars are either from Taiwan (NTD) or China (RMB).

Jones are expensive because he can get the asking price over in the states for them and there's no point being a busy fool in producing more to lower the price to make less money if you don't need to.

As for Titec bars they don't make them anymore

Because some people prefer to be defined by what they buy rather than who they are.
And they have a very high opinion of their own worth.

😀

Not that cold, I'll be fine in my jumper.

Soma Sparrow have almost the same angle and a more useful diameter for mtb brakes than Midge bars. You'll need a smaller stem clamp or spacers though. Love mine.

futon.

I'm surprised that they've not cracked yet.

Despite what they say Ti doesn't last for ever...

Most of them now with new owners as I only really like them when combined with the rest of the jones geometry.

I didn't say I didn't like them.
I was merely trying to answer Ton's enquiry.

on a serious note, I think they are a rip off, and would not pay £130 for some bars ever......but these came on the wife's 16'' troll, and god knows why someone would spec such a wide bar on such a tiny framed bike.
but cos we have em spare. I thought I would try em... 😀

Ton I agree with you £130 for a bar is a bit much.
Then again some riser bars are around that much too.

If you want to swap your wide loop bar for the narrower one I'd be up for giving it a try?
