I have been using Jones bars since 2018 and really like them, despite the odd looks!
Recently I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease nad have suffered from tennis elbow in both arms, I have pins and needles in my hands as well; I am doing physiotherapy.
I am using PDW Speed metal grips with an extra bit of grip to fill the entire bard
Has anyone used Ergons and what type. Have you cut your bars, or should I use foam grip tube in what remains of the summer.
Can you fit Hope Grip Doctor with them?
Cheers in advance
I have GS1 grips on a Geoff bar. Works for me.
I use these

Really comfy, no cutting needed, I don’t use Hope grip doctors, just the standard Jones/ergon plastic bung which does the job
Also using some ergo grips on a Geoff bar (not Ergon branded) I did consider cutting the bars down but after looking at the cable routing i'd only have managed to take about 10mm off of each end so didn't bother. I find them very comfortable for multi day rides and have a history of carpal tunnel issues.
Ergon grips (the shaped ones) on my carbon jones bars, normal DMR lock on style grips on my normal jones bars.
Ergon grips work really well with them. Have used GP1 and GP3 grips with jones bars, don't recommend the bar end style ones with jones bars, they literally hook onto any available greenery. Use them on my flat bars instead
I previously had a Jones Bend with the longest Jones ESI foam grips. The bar had a nice amount of flex, but limited hand positions (compared with the Loop and Cut versions).
And on multi-day rides the bar itself would eventually press through the foam and cause pain in centre of my palms (where they join the wrist joint. Ulnar nerve area? Not sure of the anatomical term). That might also have been down to having my wrist bent rather than solely the ESI grips.
I'm now using the Loop 2.5 Riser with Ergon GP1 grips (small size), not the other variants with a different shaped "paddle" or additional bar ends.
Bars are full width; No shifters; Double-layer of Cinelli cork tape everywhere else, apart from a small gap at the front of the loop to mount lights.
It's fugly beyond belief, weighty, and a harsher ride (unfortunately) than the flexier Bend bar.
And simultaneously setting up the bar height, tilt angle, and rotation of the Ergons took some trial and error to get a good balance between: the various bar positions; a "straight" wrist angle between hand and forearm onto the Ergons; and to get the Ergon paddle angle to fully support my palm with a straight wrist. All a bit of a mission, to be honest.
And I couldn't get the set-up right using the non-riser version of the Loop bar. I definitely needed the extra rise PLUS a nasty stack of stem spacers. YMMV.
But the end result does everything reasonably well -- for me: front / middle (cork tape) and rear (Ergon) hand holds; seated and unseated climbing; stretched-out cruising; accommodating handlebar bag / lashed on camping kit; and pain-free riding all day over multiple days.

On One copies and Alpkit ergon grips works for me bikepacking to ward off elbow issues.
I just use a single layer of Cinelli cork tape on mine.
Ergon gp1 with Jones bars.
Works for me.
I use both hope plugs and cheap bungs.
