Just taken delivery of one today. Filled the Air Shot 3 times and it seems that the pump is buggered.  It won't fill the bottle past around 20 psi and the pressure gauge isn't going up (forcing the handle up).

Resorted to using my buggered Bontrager Flash Charger to pump the Air Shot.

Once I RMA it, should I be looking at something better?

I killed three of these filling airshots. They don’t like filling at that pressure.

Ah balls 🙁

Guess I'm looking for track pump recommendations then please 🙂

What pressure do you do the airshot to?

Been using a Joe Blow mountain for my MTB, CX (45 psi) and tubeless inflator (60 psi) and it's been great. Probably won't go over 70psi but nothing I use goes that high. Wide barrel so pumps up fast

I have the Schwalbe version of the Airshot and have used it with a Joe Blow for a few years so far with no issues.

I'd been using it to about 140 psi. Track pump is 160 max and the Air Shot is 150 psi I think, so I'm below tolerances.

Filled the Air Shot 3 times before it started playing up, and now it's not inflating anything.

I've had this happen on a non-Airshot Joe Blow (the yellow one).  Easy to strip down and lube up with a bit of silicone lube and back to working.  Not recurred since.  I've used mine with a standalone Airshot many times.

Yep, I've had this with my joe blow sport II. Mine had jammed as described whilst pumping road bike tyres up. What it is the little floating non-return valve in the base of the pump.

On the Joe Blow II you unscrew a little dome headed cap near the footplate, you might need to use some needle nose pliers to remove the spring and valve (carefully). I then cleaned the spring, floating plastic valve thingy and the inside of the pump with isopropyl alcohol. I lubes the valve, spring and added a few drops into the cavity at the pump base with some thin synthetic lubricant and put it all back together. It's then ok for a while before it does it again, a while being defined as "I cant remember the last time I did it, so probably over six months"

I got rid of my Joe Blow pump after discovering that the two-way head damaged Presta valves when it's clipped on.

Yep, it does sounds like you've described.  Going to return it for a refund as I've ordered the one below to see if it fares any better.

Well... Just killed the replacement too! Same issue of getting jammed. I was taking it slower with this one and trying not to heat it up too much.

My old Flash Charger is doing an ok job filling in the airshot duties for now though. Lezyne one was rated to 220psi too, so thought that would be better.

Am I just too much of a lumberjack/cowboy with a track pump, or am I expecting too much from this price range?

Got one more tyre to seat now and I'll look at an alternative after Christmas. How does a cheap compressor fare for tubeless setup?

We have a couple of Aldi compressors that we bought in the sale. Never let us down with tubeless set up. Got one on the garage wall and one in the camper. Its helped alot of riders at races over the years.
Its a bit like this

Ah good stuff Tracey. I'll keep an eye out at our local Aldi and Lidl. If they don't get them in soon I'll give the eBay one a shout 🙂
