quick question is there any reasons why i can't fit 9 speed lx jockey wheels to my 9 speed xt rear mech doesn't seam to be any difference and don't see why i should pay out double the price for xt ones if there isn't???

If your bike snaps in half, head explodes and wife leaves you it's not my fault!

Decathlon do some fab stainless steel bearings, TRAX or something, for £10. Easy to regrease and last a very very long time. 9 speed is 9 speed - I think you are just paying for the bearing quality.
Poor = sleaves for bearings
good = bearings
v good = ceramic bearings.

For a laugh take apart an XT bearing and wonder at the 30 or so almost invisible bearings. I prefer the TRAX beafy stainless ones.

IMO those anodised ones are for tarts.

+1. I bought a set to replace the XTR ones which wore out after just a few months. The Tacx ones have been going strong for years now. Seemingly indestructible.
