gonna buy this next week for my DIY plan (wooden floor & decking), reviews seems very good, or are there other better that I might have missed?

It makes getting square cuts a lot easier.
I'd just get a sharp handsaw or a circular saw. Jigsaws are for wiggles.

Yes, I've done laminate and 20mm engineered wooden floors with it
Less mess than a circular saw/chop saw, quicker and easier than by hand.
reviews from amazon about that guide doesn't sound very nice
I bet its not quicker and easier when you include faffing but whatever works best for you.
Also a fair amount of those reviews are poor.
Yep, I have the jigsaw mentioned in the OP and it's been excellent. Also looked at that guide but bailed out due to the strength of the negative reviews.
