Hi Folks (particularly those who have a Volt from the Evans PSA recently)
Bought two volts, one for me, one for my lad. I have successfully updated firmware through their app. My lad has tried, and somehow the update has failed, and he is unable to connect to the volt over bluetooth, tho status light suggests the Volt is connected to a device. (done all the turning off/on, reinstalling apps etc)
Contact with JetBlack support is slow and not terribly helpful.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues, and has a good workround?
TIA
Have you removed all instances of the Volt from the phone's list of known bluetooth devices? I had an instance where something was failing to connect because my phone thought it had it already, but the device was trying to use a new/second connection.
Thanks Ninja, His volt is at his gaffe, we'll try that later when he's home from work.
The above suggestion is worth a go. Is he trying to connect via Bluetooth himself or letting the app do it as described here (under Updating / Checking Firmware).
Also, have you tried this:
After firmware update the VOLT™ trainer no longer works
LED shows Solid RED.
Reconnect to the JetBack AppNavigate to Settings > Firmware Update > Search Device > Look for the VOLT™ or JBOOT. (JBOOT is a default setting) connect to either and update firmware.
I had the similar issue a couple of years ago but can't remember if this was what resolved it or not.
