Rich, could you give me an idea of the route please?
Lots of hike-a-bike?
Thanks
Its the route from 2019 as this years loop was one big loop gives you a chance to enjoy the weekend if you miss a loop off!
There are at least 6 riders doing this years route as they live Penrith way and are staying at the Bikefest on route they rest are doing the 2019 below!

2019 was a great route. Just as a note, the first BW through Broughton Forest past Torver is still knackered, I think, so looping around on the fireroad instead might avoid some clambering over trees. And is Miterdale Forest back open now? I know it was closed at some point this year.
Lots of hike-a-bike?
Not too bad - bit of pushing up to Burnmoor, over Harter Fell and then Walna Scar, rest is rideable.
Cheers Martin obviously not ridden that route since 2019 so thanks for the update I will update the entrants on the Eventbrite page ref Miterdale hopefully there are diversion signs in place!
Rich
I've looked at Strava now and various segments through Miterdale have been ridden/walked recently - certainly looks like the fire-road zigzag up to the top is fine (which is better from that direction anyhow). So that should be OK.
There were no diversions in place in Broughton Moor, it is passable, just a bit chewed up with some trees to hop over.
It'll be reet!
Thanks Rich and Martin,
I've always fancied doing the Jenn Ride. I might have been a bit optimistic about doing it this weekend though: I hadn't considered that I have to drive over to Heysham on Saturday early morning. I should probably wait and do the next one.
Best wishes for a great event this weekend 🙂
anyone up for this weekends festival. always a good do, ace riding from the campsite. fantastic atmosphere, and if you are lucky and say hello to me, i may buy you a pint............ ;o)
