Hi All

I'm booked in for a session with Jedi tomorrow, and just wondering if there is anything that I need to take other than the following:

1. Me
2. Bike
3. Helmet
4. Camelbak
5. Spare tube, few tools
6. Lunch?

I've given up on work for today now, I can't wait! 🙂

A change of clothes if it's going to rain. & try not to go ass over tit in the mud, once you've changed into your clean clothes. 😳

Plenty of water, weather forecast for round here (hertford) says highs of 18 degrees. Today it was 22. Take plenty of drinks and remember to actually drink them whenever your not on your bike. Take a tube, any major mechanicals can be sorted by Edd in stevenage - 10 mins away in the car.
Might see you there, hoping to get out for a cheeky afternoon 20 mins at the field.

Cheers all; I'm actually getting nervous/excitement thinking about it now. Maybe a cheeky half tonight will help with that...

You never go more than 400 yards from the car, if you like to wear a Camelbak so be it, but I'd not worry.

Otherwise that's about it, just go and enjoy it.

That's good to know, I'll leave as much in the car as possible then

Bring plenty of food and drink. One of the best days biking I've ever had - enjoy.

Take plenty of hetracil, give it to the locals up there, like beads to the natives...

Open mind was what I thought when I read the title. that and a bit of food. don't worry about which bike, what pedals/shoes, camelbak/bareback.

it's so not about the bike. in fact, if you leave the bike at home, Tony could still improve your riding I reckon. you just need to let him loose in your head.

Nah it's sunny, warm, the water's flat, think I'll go home and stick needles in my eye instead.

Hi Jedi - waves - Mrs O and I were just talking the other day about the profound effect you had on our riding.

Keep it up, good fella!

How many responses in and still no one has said 'Your Balls'. Or did I miss that? 😀

Does he do tennis coaching as well?
I need me some of that! My serve is horrific.

After a session you realise it's not all about having big balls, just confidence in yourself and a certain jedi mind trick that I don't know what but it works.

And a respect for good coffee is a bonus too. 😀

Two things you learn.

It's not about the bike.
It's not about the balls.

Plenty of food / drink - if you're anything like me you will be properly tired by the end of the session so keep yourself fuelled up during the day.

Also, +1 for the open mind. A large supply of smiles and laughs wouldn't go amiss either ;D

Enjoy!

Sorry for the highjack but I'm also booked in for a sesh with the Jedi only next Monday. I'm travelling Sunday and staying overnight so taking sarnies could be a bit awkward. Any buttie shops near to the site?

Well that's my definition of having big balls.
