A few of us are planning to ride Jacobs Ladder,Chapel Gate,Hayfield area tomorrow,& was just wondering what the current conditions are like up there?

Are we likely to be faced with deep snow,or has most of it gone?

Wouldn't like to go all the way there & find it unrideable.

I was over Rushup and Chapel Gate earlier, snow is 3ft deep in places. The lower slopes aren't bad but it's just a bog in places where it's melted. Nice for walking though.

I'd love to do chapel gate in the snow, it won't hurt so much......

No but on the downside you won't actually be *riding* your bike either...

That's on Rushup Edge, Chapel Gate was the same at altitude but it's doable lower down.
