So never done this one before planning a trip Monday starting at edale, would have liked to join the Sunday pootle but working. Anyone suggest the best way to tackle it? And how long will it take roughly for 2 steady riders?
Starting from Edale, head up to Hollins cross, Mam nic, Rushup edge, Penine bridleway through Roych clough, Mount famine, drop into Hayfield, quick loop round Middle Moor, (well worth the extra time) Butty at the Cafe, head back up to kinder reservoir and follow the trail up to Edale cross.(its easier riding going via the reservoir)Then smash the descent down Jacobs 😀 I would allow three and a half to four hours. jacobs will be quiet on a monday, only losers push up Jacobs!!
Adey, you coming on Sunday?
You going down the steps then 😉
Be careful leaving from edale side. There's what appears to be a small stream crossing the route about 5 mins into it. This stream has a harmless looking couple of puddles across the trail but one of the buggers is about 7"deep and threw me clean over the bars. Was not impressed lol
We did that loop for the 1st time in September. Great loop, really enjoyed it. Gpx file showed 2.5hrs of moving, but we did have a lot of stops to enjoy it and because it was red hot.
